Hawaii Volcano Adventure from Maui -- This one day tour to the Big Island of Hawaii features the closest approach to the recent lava flows allowed by the Civil Defense. If conditions permit, you may be able to go right to the edge of a 2000 degree F molten lava flow!

There is a $3.95 processing fee per order. This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can only be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

· Arrive Hilo Airport
· Visit Rainbow Falls and take a leisurely drive through Hilo Town
· In Volcanoes National Park: (approx. 3 ½ hours total in the Park)
· Visit the Jagger Museum/ Observatory.
· Visit the 1982 lava flow area along Crater Rim Drive by Halema'uma'u Crater.
· Hike to the eruption area (Park rangers will advise if lava is visible and closest viewing area.) The walk may be 10 to 45 minutes, one-way, depending on location of flow.
· Hike inside the Thurston Lava Tube, see steam bluffs.
· Lunch ON OWN at Volcano House (buffet or coffee shop venue)
· Macadamia nut factory (seasonal) & orchid and anthurium nursery
· Fly back to Honolulu from Hilo Airport.

Lava viewing conditions change daily and we do not guarantee the viewing of active lava flow. On some days the best approach involves hiking over rough, uneven, lava surfaces. Passengers with asthma or other respiratory problems should consider a different tour to avoid potential health problems from exposure to fumes. All passengers are required to sign a release of liability form. Sturdy, covered walking shoes are recommended.
